Spammers, Lets Fight
One of the side-effects of a famous weblog/website is the attack of the spammers.
The spam has started and I have decided to delete all the spam comments. Lets see how many I get.

The spam has started and I have decided to delete all the spam comments. Lets see how many I get.

You realize that if you reply to those emails you just create more spam, right? Besides, it goes both ways. I used to get a lot of ads about breast enlargement, and I seriously doubt I am among the target demogrphic for that product!
Personally I am skeptical of higher education. Maybe its better outside of the good ol usa.

Looks like spam is a very interesting topic.
I agree with you guys that these guys are silly in what they do sometimes. At the end though they are all irritating.
One of the reasons these spammers have embraced the blog world is to come in the "eyes of google".
If they leave anough comments with the links they want then they can go ahead and up their rankings in search or so it seems.
This is a nice way to fool the Google Algorithm. Another thing it is easy for them to do.
For example: my comment system is designed to accept anybody to comment not just Blogger members.
I made it so that it can be easy for people to leave a comment. However, if it really becomes too much of spam then I may have to change it.
Most of the times I like it to be open...
